To successfully complete the Ignite Pilates Reformer Certification, trainees must fulfill the following:
150 total training hours, including:
45 Hours — In-Studio Training
40 Hours — Practice Teaching
30 Hours — Observation
35 Classes — Taken at Ignite
Minimum of 30 Reformer classes taken to deepen personal practice and understanding
Completion of all modules and assessments, including both written and practical evaluations
Final teaching assessment, demonstrating your ability to safely, effectively, and confidently lead a full Reformer class.
Final Exam – passing with an 80% pass rate
Once all requirements are met you will receive an official Pilates certification.

While we cannot guarantee employment, our program is designed to fully prepare you to step into teaching with confidence.
Upon completion, you will be qualified to apply for instructor positions and will be guided through the process of auditioning, presenting your experience, and navigating the hiring process.
Many of our trainees go on to become instructors, and top-performing students may be considered for teaching opportunities within Ignite Pilates.

The Ignite Pilates Teacher Training Program is not an accredited program. Our program provides a comprehensive foundation in Pilates, equipping you with the knowledge, practical experience, and teaching skills needed to confidently pursue certification and a career in the industry.
There is no single governing body that formally accredits Pilates teacher training programs across the industry.
The primary recognized credential is the Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher (NCPT) certification, which is obtained by passing the exam through the National Pilates Certification Program (NPCP).

While prior Pilates experience is recommended, it is not required.
This program is designed to meet you where you are. Whether you are a dedicated client looking to deepen your practice or someone ready to step into teaching, we will guide you through each stage of your development.
However, having a consistent Pilates practice will help you get the most out of the program.

The program is designed to be completed within approximately 2–5 months, depending on your pace and schedule.
While the in-person training is completed over a series of immersive weekends, the remaining hours are fulfilled through self-practice, observation, and practice teaching.

Submit your application online, and once approved, you’ll receive instructions to secure your spot with a deposit. A $600 non-refundable deposit is due.

Begin Modules & Observing
After signing up, you’ll gain access to your online modules and workbook, and begin completing your observation hours and training modules.
Teaching Training Weekend
You’ll attend four hands-on weekend intensives, each focused on developing your technique, understanding, and teaching confidence.
Practice & Teach
For your final test-out and exam, you’ll be evaluated on your knowledge, form, cueing, and ability to lead a complete class.
